A new law will allow the removal of places of justice
This Tuesday, the Justice Committee is called upon to vote on a bill containing various provisions “in terms of judicial organization”. It evokes the professional secrecy of lawyers, municipal administrative sanctions… But also the “distribution of cases”, which will lead to the closure of places of justice.

Lhe law of 1 December 2013 aimed at “reinforcing the mobility of members of the judiciary” had already introduced into the judicial code the rules for the distribution of cases, a tool allowing the heads of corps to make certain divisions of their jurisdiction exclusively competent for all this jurisdiction in certain specific matters (those requiring a certain specialization on the part of the magistrates). Thus, for example, it may have been decided to centralize civil cases relating to public procurement files within the Charleroi division, for the entire district. This 2013 law also insisted on the fact that these distributions should not result in the closure of places of justice.
