Alzheimer’s: conferences organized in Saint-Denis and Saint-Leu to inform about the disease
The first edition of the “Alzheimer Talks” takes place over two days. It begins this Friday, November 25 and continues tomorrow, Saturday, November 26. Conferences are planned in Saint-Denis and Saint-Leu, in order to inform the population about this disease, and to take stock of the progress of research.
“Alzheimer’s disease today represents a major public health issue due to an aging society”. In Reunion, 10,000 people are affected by the disease, estimates the Alzheimer Research Foundation.
It is in this sense that begins this Friday, November 25 “The Alzheimer’s Talks”. Organized by the foundation, this first edition takes place over two days, respectively at the University of La Réunion in Saint-Denis, then in the auditorium of the Stella Matutina museum in Saint-Leu, on Saturday 26 November. The objective is to inform the public about this disease which affects many Reunionese.
The lectures will focus on the importance of diagnosis, the interest of early management, disease prevention; Also with testimonials.
Free and open to all, this event brings together “researchers and professors who shed light on how this disease works, and who explain where research is at.
