Black Friday 2022 – The Asus Zenfone 9 8GB / 128GB “5 star” smartphone at €699.00

Asus has decided to offer only one model from the Zenfone range in 2022, but not just any. The Zenfone 9 is a small format of less than 6 inches, just as pleasant to the eye as to use.

After a first version that left a little taste of unfinished, the Zenfone 9 manages to reconcile us with the small format of Asus. This new model has almost everything to please: a small size, an excellent screen, a state-of-the-art chip or even very good autonomy for a smartphone of its size. Only its photo part is a little behind, but its 50 megapixel module manages to deliver good daytime shots. The Zenfone 9 thus easily finds a place for itself in the very specific and desert market of screens under 6 inches.

• Nocturnal shots not convincing enough.

An alternative

Like its predecessor, the Google Pixel 7 is an excellent smartphone. It benefits from a beautiful screen, a powerful SoC and a very good photo sensor duo. In addition, its price positioning makes it more affordable than the vast majority of its high-end competitors, without making any real concessions. We can certainly blame him for his heating in game, his always slow recharging or his too great similarity with the Pixel 6, but these defects weigh little with regard to the general experience, even more intuitive under Android 13.
