Disappointment at Aldi: “Customers now know”

Reading time: 1 min

A From this Saturday, January 7, Aldi customers could go to Deurne to take advantage of the outlet that the chain was opening for the third time.

Aldi sells non-food products there, for which promotions will be offered. The chain launched the concept last year, in April, to solve a problem of stock for certain items following the coronavirus pandemic.

The temporary store is scheduled to close on February 4 (or while supplies last). The previous time the outlet opened, it was so successful that people had to be stopped at the front doors.

But things were very different this time around. For the opening, this Saturday, only about fifteen people answered the call.

“The first time we did this, a lot of customers thought that we would only open one day and that we had to be quick. Hence the chaos, ”analyzes the spokesperson for Aldi. “Now customers know not to rush. We will remain open until February 4 and we will restock the shelves every day. »
