Free Elden Ring Colosseum update brings new content to the game

It’s finally here: the Colosseum update for Elden Ring is here. Fans have been waiting since release for the various Coliseums in The Lands Between to open, and it will finally happen on December 7th. And the best: the update will be free! Rent the Elden Ring!
Elden Ring Colosseums will finally open its doors
The free Colosseum update is coming to the game on December 7. The official Elden Ring Twitter account posted this great news and included a fun little trailer. In the video, you see a group of Ternis open one of the Coliseums, which have been in the game since day one, but have remained closed.
As revealed in the trailer, the Coliseums will function as arenas for PvP. You will even be able to do team battles, which looks amazing. Check out the free update trailer and Colosseum PvP battles here:

That the Coliseums would eventually open and likely feature some form of PvP was long speculated. It’s good to see this theory come true, and we can’t wait to “fight for glory” in these new arenas. Developer FromSoftware has yet to reveal any more information about this new form of PvP, so we’re excited to see if there will be a ranking system or something like that. It was also suggested by dataminers before.
Well, we will find out very soon. Guess it’s time to dust off my old save file and get back to The Lands Between…
