Index: wages will increase by 2.5% on February 1
Wages will increase from Wednesday 1is february. Statec takes a few days ahead of its monthly publication about inflation rate to announce it, this Tuesday, January 31. To perform the calculation with your monthly salary, simply multiply it by 1.025. Even if other details are then to be taken into account for the net, such as the tax class, which varies according to the salary.
As a reminder, a second indexation should fall in April 2023. This is that of July 2022 which had been postponed and replaced by the energy tax credit. According to Statec forecasts, another tranche could fall at the end of the year, or even in the third quarter in a high scenario.. If this third indexation of the year is confirmed, the government pledged to bear its cost to companies. As a reminder, it is estimated by the Union of Luxembourg Enterprises (UEL) at 800 million euros.
