Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, who created Instagram before selling it to Facebook/Meta years ago, are back with a new project. The developers are indeed launching a news app called Artifact, which stands for ‘articles, facts and artificial intelligence’, as they explained to tech site Platformer. This is a news aggregator that will offer a feed created by AI based on the example of TikTok’s algorithm. The more articles you read, the more personalized your newsfeed should be.

The app is currently still in beta, but Artifact is already the subject of much controversy in the industry.
