Prince Harry reveals his last words to Queen Elizabeth II
On this day, September 8, Harry arrived at Balmoral, where Elizabeth II died, when the sovereign had already passed away. The prince tells in “Spare” that he learned of his grandmother’s death via the BBC website, and also that he was welcomed by Princess Anne at Balmoral Castle, reports the Daily Mail.
Arrived in front of the coffin of Queen Elizabeth, Harry “advanced with uncertainty”. “I saw her and stood still, watching her intently for quite a while. I whispered that I hoped she was happy, and that she was now with grandfather (Prince Philip, editor’s note)”.
“I told him that I admired him for doing his duty until the end. The Platinum Jubilee and again the welcome of the new Prime Minister,” Harry continues in his memoir.
