Proximus, Orange, VOO and Scarlet more expensive in 2023: all about the next increases in telecom tariffs in Belgium

Proximus, Orange, VOO and Scarlet more expensive in 2023: all about the next increases in telecom tariffs in Belgium

Will be affected: packs, solo Internet, digital television, mobile, etc. It’s a group shot, which may cost you up to €7 more per month (€84 per year).

Discover below the details, operator by operator.

Proximus: +€48 per year for quadruple play

Entry into force of the increases: January 1, 2023.

On this web page, Proximus specifies that “the price adjustments concern, among others, the Flex and Business Flex packs, fixed line products, certain Internet products and old packs such as Familus, Tuttimus, Minimus, EPIC combo, Telephony + TV, Bizz Office, … ”

The vocabulary is carefully chosen. The former Belgacom talks about price adjustments. It is obviously a question of increases. One of the main victims is the quadruple play pack (Internet, TV, mobile, landline).

From January 1, 2023, Proximus’ Flex quadruple play will be billed at a minimum of €93.99 per month, compared to €84.99 in November 2019. That’s an increase of 10.58% in two years and a little bit.

+€48 per year for Proximus quadruple play: is it time to change operator?

Orange: gigabytes more to compensate

Entry into force of increases: January 15, 2023.

Orange justifies itself on this page: “Due to the current economic situation, we are forced to increase the prices of our mobile and fixed offers from January 15, 2023 in order to continue to guarantee the quality of our services. ”

The former Mobistar does not go hand in hand. All services and all packs are concerned, from mobile subscriptions to fixed services, from packs to Home Flybox boxes. Example: triple play will be charged up to €6 more per month.

To put a little balm in the heart of its injured customers, the operator adds gigabytes of data (3G/4G) to the monthly volume of its mobile subscriptions.

Up to €72 more per year: Orange will also increase its prices in 2023, like Proximus and VOO

VOO: up to €84 more per year, a record

Entry into force: February 1, 2023.

On some packs, VOO does not go with the back of the neck, as shown in this document which summarizes all the increases imposed by the cable operator from February 1, 2023.

The most striking example: all variants of the Quatro Net + TV + Mobile + Tel Giga Max pack will soon undergo an increase of 7 € per month (84 € per year).

The 3 worst increases in VOO prices in 2023: up to €84 more per year

Scarlet: the low-cost subsidiary of Proximus also affected

Entry into force: January 1, 2023.

For once, the prices of Scarlet, the low-cost subsidiary of Proximus, will also be revised upwards from January 1, 2023. This is particularly the case for the Internet only (only) subscription called Scarlet Loco.

“Due to the exceptional inflation context which has a considerable impact on our costs, we have no choice but to increase the price of our Loco internet subscription. This will increase by €2, i.e. €34/month from 01/01/23. ”

+2 € per month, this is also the penalty applied to the Trio packs.
