snow and ice, the roads will be slippery in the next few hours
Moreover, some snowfalls will appear in the upper Ardennes. Light rain or drizzle will occur in other regions but some melting snowflakes are not excluded (from 0 to locally 3 cm) above 400m. Showers will also develop on the North Sea and may eventually affect our coast. The maxima will vary between -1 degree on the eastern highlands and +4 degrees on the west of the country. The moderate northeast wind will increase the feeling of cold.
These weather conditions could make the roads slippery. The IRM therefore launched a yellow alert on part of the country from December 2 at 10 a.m. to December 3 at 8 a.m. The provinces of Liège, Luxembourg and Namur are potentially concerned.
Next night, the weather will become dry again but some patches of ice could locally make the roads slippery in the Ardennes.
Tomorrow, Saturday, the weather will be quite cold but generally dry. The cloudiness will often be abundant even if some clearings are not excluded at the start of the day. The maxima will vary between -1 and +4 degrees going from the eastern highlands towards the coast. The moderate east to northeast wind will maintain the impression of cold.
