The electric car is still seeking its way to individuals
Will the Auto Show inspire private drivers to massively go electric? Nothing is less certain, because of technical and financial brakes… called however to be lifted.

OOpen to the general public from this Friday at Brussels Expo, after two editions canceled due to covid, will the Motor Show finally give Mr. and Mrs. Everybody the decisive impulse to buy an electric car? Admittedly, sales of exclusively battery-powered vehicles are progressing at lightning speed, as evidenced by the figures from Febiac, the Belgian manufacturers’ federation. In 2019, only 8,830 brand new models of this type rolled on the asphalt of the Kingdom, weighing only 1.61% of new registrations. Last year, the 100% electric market grew to 37,619 cars, or 10.3% of all new car registrations. This represents a fourfold increase in just four years. Lightning!
