the final end? The noose is tightening, this novelty that risks changing everything…
Since 2017, the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) has been shutting down IPTV sites. This gave ideas to other companies in the entertainment industry and thus the Global Anti-Piracy Act was born.
All this seems to have been reinforced over the past few days, since a new alliance has been formed between around twenty companies and the Global Anti-Piracy Act. This new alliance has created the Global Anti-Piracy Pact, which has been official for a few days now. This is therefore a bad sign for all IPTV users, because the objective of this new pact is clearly to fight against IPTV services, both through public awareness and more drastic measures, says Geeko. These measures are not yet known since the project is just emerging.
While most South American countries already block pirate sites, the coalition aims to focus on administrative blocking procedures, which allow rapid intervention. The pact therefore provides for the establishment of similar procedures for the countries which are part of it and which do not yet have them.
The alliance also claims that it intends to directly attack the income of pirate platforms, via “effective mechanisms”. The noose is therefore tightening for the beneficiaries of IPTV.
