The Kia Stinger bids farewell with the Tribute Edition
Before disappearing definitively, the Kia Stinger offers an ultimate special series limited to 1000 copies.
Launched in 2017, the Kia Stinger was to serve as the standard bearer for the Korean brand and aimed squarely at the sports versions of German premium sedans. This pretty family car succeeded in finding a few customers thanks to its successful design and its excellent price/performance ratio, before the evolution of European standards and the hardening of the penalty in countries like France condemned it on the Old Continent. .
The Stinger will also end its production next year, including on the American market for which it was more specifically designed. But before definitively drawing its reference, the car is available in an ultimate limited edition “Tribute Edition” with a polished presentation. Offering a new “Moonscape” color with matte treatment, the Stinger Tribute Edition has 19-inch black wheels and Brembo brake calipers in the same color.
No mechanical modifications
There are no mechanical modifications to report, which means that we will find the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 developing 370 horsepower under the hood of the car (366 horsepower in its European version). Kia announces a total production of 1000 copies of the Tribute Edition but we do not know for the moment if some of these cars will be marketed on our market. As a reminder, the Stinger currently costs €64,390 in the GT finish in France, to which must be added more than €32,000 in penalties.
