A violent fire broke out this Friday at the end of the afternoon at the rue des combatants in Néchin.

In the absence of the owners, a fire broke out in the house, possibly at the level of the chimney.

Very quickly, the “simple smoke” that appeared at first quickly turned into huge flames escaping from the roof, then spreading to the rest of the house.

The road was blocked in both directions for part of the evening, and a security perimeter was set up. Strong smoke was emerging, in fact, even on the roadway.

Two inanimate dogs were found in the house, and evacuated by the firefighters, who did their best to try to resuscitate them a few meters away. Unfortunately, one of the two faithful companions did not survive, the other having been taken care of by a veterinarian.

If, on a human level, there are no victims to be deplored, two families will have to be relocated, since the fire also affected the neighboring house. In the face of the violence of the flames, the two houses were destroyed.
